The Mechanics' Institute has a subscription library with low annual rates that allow a generous period of loan for books off the shelves, while also allowing access to the reference section and newspaper collections for research and browsing.
Our librarians are friendly and helpful, as well as being able to assist with inquiries about any facet of the collection. Please call in at the library, 117 Sturt Street to join, or phone (03) 5331 3042 or send a message.
Currently, the library is situated in the foyer on the first floor. Access to the library is possible via the stairs or a lift from the ground floor.
It is anticipated that the library will re-locate to its permanent position in the Batten Room by September 2010. |

New aquisitions mean that there is now a good selection for sale at attractive prices. See the displays in the foyer and in the library for titles of interest. Please ask our librarians for current listings.
